High in fiber. Higher in charm. Meet the newest super model on the block, sprouting with charisma and appeal. The roots of this photogenic vegetable are humble, but this late bloomer now has a lot of eyes on him.

David Melamed spent months combing supermarket bins for potatoes with just the right smirk, the right slouch, the right je ne sais quoi — because it turns out potatoes have personalities, and somebody had to prove it. Shot entirely in natural light and staged in real-world locations (yes, the police got involved once), Real Potatoes is a photographic comedy that transforms the humblest vegetable in your pantry into a cast of characters you won't be able to stop laughing at. As either sophisticated humor or funny art, this will please the inner gardener, hummerist and dad in all of us.
